When I was at school science really wasn’t my favourite subject. Lesson after lesson would be spent copying from the board or burning endless numbers of wooden splints in the flame of a bunsen burner. My real strong passion was english. I loved writing but as I got older I began to realise just about everything in life is related to science. The subject intertwines and sometimes argues with every component of our culture whether it is religion, literature, music, health, medicine even down to our own personal preferences for music.

I have a degree in Biomedical science so my interests are all things biology and human health. However, I think I realised from early on that I didn’t really want to work in a lab. Instead I wanted to combine my passion for science with my love for writing. Now I’m here writing a blog about….you guessed it…science.
